As we look back over the 49 years of benevolent activity at The Principle Foundation, we are blessed with countless examples of divine Love’s provision meeting every human need. The following remarks represent a small sample of the notes of gratitude notes that come into The Foundation from individuals who have received assistance.

“Thank you for the assistance you provided so that I could attend the Spiritual Activism Summit earlier this month. It was a truly joyful and enriching experience. I was especially gratified to see the sincere understanding of Christian Science expressed by so many other participants. I felt an awareness of the incomparable good this Movement can bring to the world, and am reminded to keep that in my own consciousness. Again, thank you for the financial support extended to me and the other students I was able to share this weekend with.”

“In a seeming time of great need, the generous and timely grant from The Principle Foundation surely was a demonstration of love. The individuals who donate to this fund are certainly no less than angels doing the work of our Father. I would like to add that the letter you sent with the check was so helpful. First of all, the love it expressed dispelled my feelings of guilt over accepting the money. More than this, the letter contained such thoughts and ideas that are the true antidotes to the belief in lack. I have reread this letter almost daily and refer to these ideas constantly. In honesty, the belief in lack has appeared more than a few time s in my life. I now see that there is a permanent solution that can apply to my situation as well as the worlds.”

“The care and concern of each person who spoke to me was so comforting, and the encouragement given was truly a blessing and enabled me to overcome the fear, which seemed overwhelming. The selflessness, which was expressed in getting the funds into my bank account, during a snow-storm in your area, really touched me and showed the love of Mrs. Eddy’s teaching work.”

“I have the greatest appreciation for the way The Principle Foundation came to my aid on two occasions. You lifted a difficult burden generously and did this with exemplary confidentiality and promptness. Frankly, I didn’t know very much about the Foundation until I contacted you. Now, I am among your biggest champions.”

“During this holiday season of giving thanks, I wanted to pass along my deep gratitude for your assistance after the hurricane. Thank you for your generosity and immediate response. That very afternoon, the contractors requested payment and cashed the checks! Thanks to you, the funds were already in the bank to cover the checks.”

“I am so-o-o grateful to receive your check and all the loving words. It comes with knowing that there is a caring God in a tangible way. Thank you!”

“Yesterday, I received the Foundation's generous gift. The pony express is a little slow down here. We are now getting mail about three days a week, but you never know what you will get - junk mail from four weeks ago or whatever. But, it came just in time to contribute to my roof repair and my daughter's college tuition. Let's put it this way - your letter came sooner than my insurance adjuster, who has yet to come. ‘My cup runneth over.’ I am still living this near Biblical journey, which some might consider an ordeal. I would not trade the blessings and proofs of God's care for anything. In that light, Katrina was and still is good to me. As for supply issues, every day I feel more and more the mental healing that is constantly taking place, so I know that the practical manifestation must come when needed, just as it did when I recieved the unsolicited call to my cell from a Local Committee Member. I still don't know how she got my number. I had not even heard of The Principle Foundation. She could not have known then of the family crisis and despair that I was experiencing at that time. It's proof of what Mrs. Eddy says about Divine Love and angels unawares being right where the hurt and despair seem to be. My life in the last month is living proof of these divine laws and precepts. This period of time, and really this time of stepping back and letting the Shepard lead, also gave me the bonus opportunity of speaking to my steadfast and unselfish teacher every day. What a growth and learning experience this has been. I am still collecting my thoughts and prayers on all this and will be able to express them by and by. For now, please accept my heartfelt gratitude for helping me. Keep up your good work.”
